Young Persons Residential Worker - WAKING NIGHT – Waltham Abbey – Full Time – 37.5 hours – Permanent- £19,112-£21,840We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and determined individual to work with children and young people 5-18 years old with social, emotional and complex needs.You will: * Provide high quality, person-centred care to our Children and Young People often involving an understanding of a broad range of often complex social, emotional and recreational needs. * Have responsibility for safeguarding and promoting individual rights, providing good quality care * Undertaking keyworker tasks and being responsible for the welfare of specific children. * Promote and actively encourage the delivery of a safe, structured and nurturing environment, promoting the young person's independence and developing their life skills. * To assist and supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of the children and young people and to identify and prepare specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision. * Participate in a comprehensive staff training and development programme to ensure that you are equipped with the necessary skills and levels of expertise to meet the needs of the young people. * Assist client need and ensure that all Young People have care plans and to develop, implement and review packages of care. * Undertake a rota-based system of shifts thus ensuring the children and young people have Young Person's Support Workers with them over a 24-hour period. * Undertake routine administrative tasks and provide written reports and maintain the Young Person's file as required by the organisation's policies and proceduresSkills and qualifications: * Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare * Or Level 3 Children and Young People Workforce Diploma with social care pathway. * Or NVQ Level 3 Caring for Children and Young people. * Or NVQ 3 Health and Social Care. * Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development. * Ability to demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, literacy and technology skills to required standard. * Ability to work as a team * Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team * Good communication skills and good written and spoken English.Apply online today for more information about the role :)
