The post holder will act as an autonomous practitioner providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment option and evaluation of a complex nature in area of specialism – diabetes/wound care /nail surgery. Working both in the community including patients' homes and hospital settings as an independent autonomous professional, managing the departmental caseload, excising judgement in the initiation and management of change. The post holder will also be responsible for the treatment given to patients on the caseload, but to be prepared to seek and accept professional support and guidance from senior staff. As an advanced specialist podiatrist advanced knowledge is used to assess and treat complex cases in a holistic way and motivate others to work in a similar way, also providing an advanced resource advice and support for junior staff in areas of speciality.
A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport for business purposes in this role is essential, all mileage while on shift will be compensated.
The pay rate for this locum role is between £19.78 - £26.78 per hour for days dependant on experience with increases for nights and weekends, however this is open for negotiation for someone with years of experience.
