Exciting opportunity to join a local, fast growth, Shared Service Centre operating for a Global Japanese trading company. We are an innovative business of around 70 people with a growing reputation for technical innovation and digital transformation.
This position predominately provides a back-office accounting share services support to all offices in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
This is an Administration Assistant position with opportunities to learn and progress throughout the company based in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex. The role is in a fast paced, high volume process environment.
What will I do?
- Contract Creation and Maintenance within SAP Hana System with double checks
- Following up and reviewing trading and expense documentation against regulatory requirements
- Creating requests for accurate financial postings into accounting books with double checks
- Maintain, create and update customer, vendor and service provider details within internal systems
- Process the day-to-day workload for one or two business departments with double checks
- Assisting business departments with simple queries surrounding business processes and troubleshooting and knowing when to ask supervisors/Line Manager for support
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Business Users and LPC colleagues
What skills do I need?
- Communicating effectively to Line Manager, Business Support Department, Business Departments and other LPC Departments
- Managing own personal workload, completing requests within 24hrs of receipt, achieving and maintaining an accuracy level of no less than 95% with double checks where required
- Working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Able to follow instructions, rules and procedures that are set
- Undertaking training suggested to improve knowledge and skills in line with the role
- Approaching tasks in a positive and considerate manner
- Using initiative where appropriate
- Minimum of GCSE Math & English (4+ or A-C)
- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint etc
What are my hours of work?
- Non-peak Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
- Peak (last working day and first 4 working days of the month) Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

- Overtime is expected at peak periods but not guaranteed
- The role is commutable from Basildon, Southend on Sea, Chelmsford and surrounding areas by bus, train or car
