Plastics and Cosmetic Nurse | Outpatients | Band 6 equivalent | Southend | Full time | Fully Funded Training programmes
Spire Wellesley Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a Plastics and Cosmetics Nurse to join their Outpatients team. Working alongside Plastic surgery consultants you will be responsible for the pre and post-operative pathway for the cosmetic patients ultimately ensuring patient safety.
Spire Wellesley Hospitals has 3 Theatres (2 laminar flow) and an endoscopy unit, a 33 bedded Surgical Ward covering a wide variety of specialties including Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynae, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology and ENT. We have had a recent Theatre refurbishment to further upgrade our theatre environment and bringing cutting edge technology to our hospital.
Duties and responsibilities
- Working alongside and keeping in close communication with the plastic surgery consultants and the preassessment team
- Responsible for providing exemplary care for private patients visiting the hospital for cosmetic surgery
- Responsible for pre and post-operative care such as of removal of stitches and dressings in independent nurse-led clinics, wound care and follow up care in outpatients for patients coming back for follow up appointments after surgery.
.Who we're looking for
- Registered Nurse with NMC registration
- Minimum of 1 year's cosmetic/plastic surgery nursing experience
- Some managerial experience and leadership skills
- Good team work ethic
- Enthusiastic, independant and energetic professional
- Someone with relevant cosmetic nursing training course is desirable
